I think you should make it look like the character is in the grass more, instead of just behind some wall of grass, and fix the fact that some of the blades of grass look like they're just kind of coming out of no where. Also, I don't think the color of the character really fits in too well, he's too monochromatic. I think you should keep the Japanese characters. I think it gives the whole signature balance...
