Default Age of Wushu - NYCC 2012 Interview w/ Mikedot

Nice job on your first interview Mike. You did pretty well in my opinion and thanks for this, I'm more hyped than ever for this game. I hope we can play this game together when it goes into closed beta next month.

I agree. Great work, Mike. I'm really hyped about this game. I think I will buy that $10 pre-order sometime soon.

I'd say thats a hell of a good deal considering it's two closed betas AND early access. Although they did say you could get closed beta access without it, this is just a garunteed way to get in.

The game IS generic and a typical Chinese crappy game.

PS: No offense, but Mike spoke way too fast and was way too loud. I was almost confused bouncing around between him and the producer of Age of Wushu. I'm also not sure about his voice, but it kind of sounds weird to me, like the guy with the lisp on Big Bang Theory. Just some food for thought when improving yourself as an interviewer.

The game is certainly not generic, just hope that snails do a good job with the advertisement.

Tried the Chinese ver and the game absolutely needs high population, 80% of what you do are in groups.

I do not think it's generic. It has a focus on player interaction, an off-line system where your character stays in the game and does stuff for you while you are not playing, and some other pretty neat features.

I do agree that the setting is pretty generic, there have been a lot of martial arts MMOs. But the combat in this game seems pretty interesting. I did not get the impression that the combat was slow at all. Perhaps not on par with an FPS, but definitely not slow.

Yeah, I understand what you mean. Was a bit nervous trying pull some questions from the back of my head since they decided to let us do the interview without setting up an appointment, and I had no questions prepared. So yeah, definitely noted.
