It'd be pretty cool if bands started selling their music on some kind of read only mp3 player. Something ipod touchesque, small enough to just hold their album and maybe a video or some concept art.

We definitely have the technology for this, I've seen mp3 players sell for way under $10. Sure its a novelty but I feel like I'd be more likely to buy that than a cd.

one time I bought a record at a Dead Meadow gig and it had a slip of paper inside with directions on how to get free mp3 and flac copies of the album from the internet. I feel like that's something more bands should be doing.
