Default TERA Online (Worth the monthly fee?)

Hey everybody, I am currently installing TERA; however, I wanted to ask everyone here who has played TERA for a bit if it is worth the monthly fee. I've viewed quite a few gameplay videos and I just want more opinions.

Would it be more worth it if I threw my money at a different MMO? Please share your thoughts!

Check out RaiderZ, It's like a free-to-play version of Tera.

RaiderZ combat doesn't feel that good. It feels like a really bad but also improved Mabinogi. Dunno how to put it, but I prefer something like C9 combat, where the action is always there. I tried the TERA trial, and so far I like it. However, like any other pay to play MMO, it is an investment and I am wondering if it is worth it to actually play. Such as, does it fall off anywhere as you progressed through it. This is mainly a question to those whom have played it for a bit. I don't really like throwing my money at things that would disappoint me not too much shortly after.

Well this is my personal story. I tried beta and was like "ERMAHGERD!!" So I friggin bought the game and ended up quitting within my free month... The game was sooo empty at launch. I don't mean playerwise, just, i don't know lol. Worthwhile wise? You leveled up so quickly you hardly noticed! JK, but it was waaay to quick for my taste, couldn't even enjoy the ride. And questing was so linear... for EVERYONE. It led you through a designated path through each map to each quest area and there was no way around it. Making alt rolling sound like butt. No story from what I can tell... I didn't take part in any story quests nor did I find out where to start it...?

But they released their expansion I believe and have put in battlegrounds since I left. So, I don't know if it has gotten any more interesting, but I would personally say no it is not worth it haha.

I will say this though, boss battles in dungeons were rather epic :P But that was the ONLY thing the game had going for it... and its shiny graphics.

If you want to play a game with a similar combat system try c9 or dragonnest, but c9 definitely has the best combat system in the industry.

Dunno, I think RaiderZ still gets closest to Tera. Both have fairly slow-paced action combat.

I agree that Dragon Nest has a much better battle system, but RaiderZ is much closer to Tera than Dragon Nest.
