    Default Entropia Universe

Interesting game I came across, I knew it back when it was Project Entropia, seems theyve done alot to it.

Can I get some details of the game and it's content, and how rewarding/un rewarding the PED system is, and if the game is overall good or not

The PED system is very unrewarding unless you are willing to make it your full time job to make a profit from the game. The only people that profit from the system are the ones who are willing to invest a lot of time and money.

The game is nice looking and some of the mechanics are fun, but it could still use a lot of polish. The whole thing is ruined (for me) because everything is tied to PED. I have no problem investing money in to a game, but I do not want to play as an investor and/or gambler. I can do both of those in real life and get more enjoyment. Some people (Narfia for example) have a lot of fun with the game, however. So it is a matter of taste and what you find fun.

If you are not willing to invest $30+ a month, you will probably have to spend a lot of time pulling your hair out by doing repetitive task to get anywhere in the game.

I personally invested $30-40 in the game (can't remember which) and tried out mining (what interested me most about the game). I just barely broke even and stopped playing because I couldn't go 5 minutes without being reminded that the game is just a big casino and I do not enjoy gambling. Of course, just about any game could be compared to gambling, this is just the only game that has actually made me feel that, though.

Also, the game is dying. I played way back when ti was Project Entropia as well. I put in $15 and did a tiny bit of hunting and never played again. Back then, the game was thriving and it was a lot of fun to simply socialize because you could find people doing social stuff all over. Now, you can run thru the most populated city in the game and maybe run in to 30 people max and a majority of the other cities are ghost towns unless there is some kind of pre-planned event going on there.

I will say that with the new graphics/engine, vehicles are a blast to ride. And if they every decide to do more with space (such as make it more of a space simulator type deal rather than a glorified money sink), I may come back and check the game out.

Here is me flying around in my VTOL right after a supply trip while mining:

And here is a hunting event that Narfi was hosting. This was part of a contest where the prize was a mothership. I am not sure if he won. I hope he did. I had a lot of fun at these events, but the whole money thing about the game just ruined it for me unfortunately.
