Default Nexon - The Grinns Tale (Browser based game)

    Has anybody tried it out?

It's a pretty interesting: you play as these little guys called Grinns who explore this tower and kill monsters in ATB style combat (like the Final Fantasy games) and gain exp and drops. You also get your own town where you can build shops and stuff to create items to strengthen your characters. Progressing through the Tower unlocks more features and upgrades for your town as well.

    It's playable through Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/thegrinns
    Or Kongregate: http://www.kongregate.com/games/nexo...he-grinns-tale

    Here's a Gameplay video

Check it out in your free time. It's not bad.

I have to agree. It is one casual I play each day. It has a nice fusion of rpg and city builder.

I was really surprised at how fun it is. How long have you been playing?

I love city builders where you get minions who go adventuring for you! I've only played five and yet they were all addicting! The interface looks surprisingly good for a browsergame. And with all the sound effects and instant gratification this looks AMAZING! +rep

Will always love Nexon for making Mabi and will always hate them for having the worst service of all time.

As far as I'm aware, it's only EU and NA Nexon that are ******ed and greedy.
AS i said though, as far as I;m aware. I haven't dealt with Nex Korea

Also OT: I'll have to try this out sometime.

It's a fun game, but the city building really becomes time consuming in the later levels. Eventually, you'll run into enemies which really require the entire party to be decked out in the best gear they can be (especially the horrible, horrible spiders) and leveling up the metal and wood storage areas multiple times in order to build the higher tier character buildings (not to mention the bakery) and then actually building those things can take days. In addition, every piece of gear (excluding the ones which can be bought at the weapon shop) requires 1 or two copies of a previous set piece to craft, so crafting the higher tier stuff also takes a ton of time, wood, metal, and general resources (rubies, feathers, and diamonds in particular have horrible drop rates).

Basically, it starts out evenly, but later on you'll need to either sink some money into it or prepare to go several days and do a ton of grinding in low level areas for certain materials before you have everything you need in order to clear a floor. It's still fun though.

Yeah I hate it when I still have things to do after finishing the first few hours of content.
