Does anyone play? I'm not really thinking of playing (busy with Vanguard), but a friend on my minecraft server told me that they had added housing to it a year or so ago, which got my interested. So, anyone got some info/thoughts/opinions/etc... on the game?

Housing has been in EQ2 from the start, and it has also been available to free players as well. The game is pretty solid, I would compare the gameplay to WoW or LOTRO. The free to play options are pretty crappy though, being limited to 4 of like 15 classes and the same with races.

Is housing instanced or what?

Housing is instanced, but there are numerous houses to obtain ranging from apartment complexes to full blown mansion-like buildings.
