Default Your most disappointing games of the year?

This year we have seen many games that may or may not been up to par with our or the gaming communities expectations. I would like to see what all of you's guys's (yes i said yous guys's,deal with it) personal let downs were of the year.

Mine would of been WarZ, but my vote would have to go to diablo 3, why? Because I have been waiting for it since the d2 vanilla days only to be highly disappointed in every aspect of the game (except the art style, kind of liked).

So, what are your picks for biggest let downs of 2012?

I'd have to agree with D3 being the biggest disappointment. I like the questing and artstyle immensely, but these were my major dislikes about it:
    1) no skill swapping like in D2
    2) item stats are TOO randomized, I'm not a fan of random stats in general but at least in D2 it was bearable
    3) they've fixed this now, but all the mobs (even normal ones) one-shotting people in Inferno was just stupid, I really hated the Invincible Minion attribute as well

Haven't been disappointed this year thanks to my view on what games are and how the industry currently works :P

Oh i forgot to add far cry 3's multiplayer =/ single player is fun, but the multi has more holes than a shirt gang banged by moths.

    Planetside 2(Some BF3(Loadouts etc) + PS1 theme game)
Guild Wars 2 ( I was expecting more, but I prefer the instance questing like in the older one)
Firefall (Feels like a mindless grind)
    Wizardry Online (Was expecting more)
    Total Recall (Cancelled)

I'm disappointed in GW2, Firefall, and a few others.

But my god, D3 just shoots all of those disappointments out the window. Worst purchase I've had this year. Should've bought Torchlight 2 for half the price. Bad content, MASSIVE gold farmers in the span of like..1-2 weeks?, and literally every account without an authenticator and even some of those with got hacked after two weeks.

How I reminisce at the good old D2 days.....sigh.

whats with all the hate toward GW2?

It's not a bad game. Comparing it to other MMOs on the market its a pretty good game, I also did expect more content, but in terms of gameplay and the world it has upped the bar for me for MMOs.. I only look for MMOs that have action combat now.

Not blindly defending GW2, I just think it's kinda funny that all these complaints about "poor writing" and "It's not GW!" are JUST coming out.

Played GW1 for 5 years, 10,000+ hours. Played GW2 for 1 month. Endgame/Dungeons/Downed State ruined it for me. D3 was a huge letdown for a while, until updates came and made the game enjoyable. So overall, I say GW2

Anyway Inferno is kind of a joke now. But they added Monster Power levels which makes the game challenging again. Paragon system is cool too.

I think people are picking D3 and GW2 because those games were hyped up to be super duper incredibly awesome. Obviously if you download some crap F2P MMO and it ends up being slightly less crappy than you thought it was going to be, that's a plus for you lol.
It's not that they were overhyped for me, but RMAH killed Diablo 3, it's ****ing ******ed.
And what Arri said, "It's not GW", I've played GW for about 5 years also I think? I expected it to be similar, it doesn't even feel like a guild wars game, and I feel like they did a poor job with the story. The game is very good yes, and the sPvP is amazingly fun.
But what I was expecting, was Guild Wars 2, that actually feels like a sequel.

Also, why is RO2 so bad? I'm excited to try it. D:

Probably every anime inspired mmorpg game I played this year was pretty disappointng lol.

I bought gw2 which is a really well made game but it wasn't for me.. The game is amazingly well made but the gaming community
seems to know what they want now so they were in trouble from the start when they decided to change things up a bit.

I wonder if games are getting worse or you guys are just getting cynical ... especially that one dude that pretty much named every single game released this year

I think it's safe to say D3 takes the cake in the disappointment department.

Can't really say anything disappointed me this year. I guess I just played the types of games I knew I'd enjoy and avoided the ones I knew I wouldn't. Maybe Guild Wars 2 simply because I liked how single player + close friends the original was and felt they destroyed what made the original so successful with this 'upgrade.'

Though honestly how about Final Fantasy XIV still not being ready to go a year later?
