What gun would you pick, and how long will you survive when war breaks out? and why?

I just don't understand the question. How do Civil Riots and War break out at the same time? Did our enemies have insiders in our nation prior to war breaking out? Is the South rising again? I feel like anyone attempting to occupy our nation would quell any civil rioting with extreme prejudice very quickly.

I feel like my choice of gun depends on this question as I'd want something very stealthy in the case of war and something capable of suppressing large crowds in the case of civil rioting.

And yea I wouldn't last long. A white guy in that part of NY during Civil Riots? I'd probably starve before I dared poke my head out looking for supplies.

Guns require a lot of ammo to be effective. You'd be better off with a knife and riot shield of some sort. I'd probably forgo any sort of gun and get a sword of some sort and a motorcycle.
