Would you play mmorpg that use a Nervegear? a Nervegear is a helmet device that paralyzing your body and send your mind into virtual world. you have full control of the avatar body when your in the game and taste and feel.

Oh, i forgot to mention i don't like the pain of death and.... ye, you understood.
Reputation: 317Only if the developer is a crazy *** mofo that makes it impossible to log out of the game, and we can PK the shit out of other people.
Reputation: 34I think the internet connection for the helm was wireless, given the fact people are moved to an hospital in SAO.
I would definitely like to try it however, except maybe the brain melting and being stuck in the game part... and also the pain and teabag...
It would be pretty intense however to be able to play virtual games with this, me wants. I've always wanted The World :3
I'm not particularly interested in knowing what it feels like to be brutally murdered and/or ***** in ways that only exist in video games.
As a base however, the pain was not felt in SAO even with the nervegear.
(Remember when kirito kicks that other dude's nuts)
And if we did, being a tank would suck, imagine yourself being cutted up and then healed... and then chopped up and then healed and then squashed and then healed and then burned x_x For a 10+ minuts fight...

Reputation: 134nope. games are addictive enough as it is.
I'd want to try it out. Woo, SAO. :3
Reputation: 317Isn't wireless these days also rather unstable? Would be awkward you'd get dc'd and be stuck in the virtual world xD

Reputation: 344you guys should read Neuromancer
I think it would be nifty, but only if all the kinks that make it possible to die/go into a coma/lose memories/etc are taken care of. No game is worth that risk
i think i would try it just to feed my curiosity..
because i don't like walking around thinking how does
it work and feels if you try it first hand lol
and also as long as it will not damage your brain in anyway..
Hmm I am guessing Nervegear is sort of like an entrance to a virtual world sort of jiff.
I guess it would be fun to play FPS with it.
Are there any info on it? HOw it works...etc,?
What happens if there is a power outage, random DC, removal of helmet by outside source..sort of stuff.
