I got it because I heard Level 5 was in the mix but I also enjoy Studio Ghiblis animations. I think Abhorsen has been mentioning wanting this for a while and DarkAztaroth posted nabbing a copy recently (I had actually forgot it was coming out up until that point so I'm glad he posted) anddecided to make a thread after I bought it myself and played it a bit ^_^.By Studio Ghibli? The game is a wonderful combination of everything I'd expect from both companies.
Personally, if I didn't have a PS3 I probably would have gotten one to play this. A lot of things have impressed me about it, even some of the smaller aesthetic details they added in.

I still have to wait till february for the europe release. I could cancel my order and go with a digital copy though, but for a game like this I really want the physical. SO DON'T SPOIL IT YET!!
btw, what did the NA version get for the pre-order dlc? Europe is getting Griffy + Flutterby.

I couldn't wait until it launched in Australia so I made a US psn account and bought some US psn cards and got it. It's downloading right now 2 hours left!, Can't freaking wait to play it.

I think if NA folks preorder, they get the Griffy familiar from Amazon. Wizard's Edition has the golden drongo and mite DLCs.

I have a touch of ocd, where I can't put down one until I finish it. Before ps3 I barely ever finished games. And, to be fair, most of the ones I platinumed were like a 3/10 difficulty lol. The walking dead for example, you got a platinum just for playing it. 1/10.
Also, totoro is my favorite :3

Is there ever any kind of fast travel system? I'm not too far in, just outside the temple of trials in the desert but theres some sidequests I wanna do to level up first.

I prefer the grind kinda haha. It's taking me back to my maple story days quite a bit when I play it that way. But this has a goal and a realistic finish line

The story was a little weak to me, but just a little. I felt like it was kinda predictable but didn't feel uninterested or cheated. I also really liked the gameplay and the presentation of the story was beautiful. There were also some twists at the end that made it come together and hold my interest. Id agree with 8/10.

btw, Which familiers do you guys use? I'm definitely a fan of Puss in Boats. It's kind of OP once you max out each tier. He puts Mite to shame which already got a overall decent stat. I also use a dinoceros, but that's when I'm Toko farming, cause one hits the damn thing.

Puss in Boats is pure badass the way it fights + its' idle and walking animations. Definitely my favorite Familiar as of now.

Dino should be second seat =PThis is my party. Each of my party members have 5 move speed and I have like 9 dragon's tooth's. I'm trying to get myself a lynx for swaine, but even tokotoko's spawn faster... (Mobs that give 8k exp each).
7 more trophies to go. Gotta level up a lot of Familiars now though and work on alchemy.
