Probably not, the game still has a decent sized playerbase. Thinking they are going to shut down would be an over reaction.

I highly doubt it, as long as the game turns over even as little as a $1 profit then they'll keep it going... It's just how Nexon is....
Personally i'm hoping they don't screw up Project NT because i'm actually semi-pumped for it >

Not really surprising if you look at the other updates, which are almost a month apart each.

Imo, shutting down City of Heroes temporarily for the first week of Guild Wars 2's launch was justified, because NCsoft did not have the resources. Leaving it shut down for longer than a week was unjustified. After the Guild Wars 2 launch, NCsoft should have brought City of Heroes back because their servers weren't overloaded anymore... And given Guild Wars 2 private arenas and spectator mode for monthly tournaments before the structured PvP scene died. But killing two birds with one stone is fine when you have 100,000's of casual PvE'ers (sarcasm).

Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Guild Wars 2, but you don't have to sacrifice the everyday lives of loyal paying City of Heroes subscribers. If it were an entirely free-to-play game then ok, you aren't obligated to keep the servers running. But City of Heroes was a pay-to-play game, with players supporting the cost to run the servers with their own dinero. And now City of Heroes is... Gone

The other Nexon games that got shut down were like this. They were left unattended for long period of time, like 6+ months until they finally admitted that they are going to shut them down within a month or 2 from that time. If they are going to shut it down, they wont tell about it until the last moment.
