Interested in gaming laptop, unsure on details though
I copied the 'Buying Hardware?' questions to assist in this thread.
My answers will be in bold and anything that's unsure will be updated when I'm more informed.
I) Describe what Hardware you are interested in (if you already know that). So if you've already got your eye on the Radeon GTI1000x, be sure to mention it!
include:
- Hardware type (Desktop/Laptop/Custom Build/Single Component) If a laptop is too troublesome or too much I can settle for desktop.
- Brands of preference unsure
- minimum specs unsure
II) Describe the tasks you will need the Hardware for.
Examples:
"My PC is going to be used for:
- Watching HD quality videos
- Internet Browsing
- Office use and Presentations
- Video Editing/Ripping/Converting/Media
- Gaming (MMORPGs, Shooters/Racing games, Real time strategy, Browser games)"
If you're going to use your computer for gaming, be sure to mention your goal performance, and how much money you are willing to spend to reach that goal! I'd prefer around 1500$, but as I'm just now looking at prices here I'm unsure if that's a good/bad/average price or not.
III) In case you plan to upgrade an existing system, or reuse parts, describe your former PC's specs Posting to show what I have now....I've been playing games like WoW and Guild Wars 2 on low settings, and they work great that way, but I'd like to play on HIGH settings and not have trouble in populated cities. I have a bit of trouble playing Tera even in little areas, but this is not just my low specs but because their servers are very populated at this time.
include:
- Everything you know Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Basic (6.0, Build 6002) Service Pack 2 (6002.vistasp2_gdr.130104-1437) Language: English (Regional Setting: English) System Manufacturer: ECS System Model: G31T-M BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: Pentium(R) Dual-Core CPU E5200 @ 2.50GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.5GHz Memory: 2046MB RAM
- In case you want to upgrade a prebuilt PC, the brand name and model name/number (Example: Dell, Studio XPS 8000)
- Your Power supply unit's power output or brand name and model name/number
- Mainboard brand name and model name/number
IV) Describe how you plan on purchasing
Include:
- Where you are from Central Arkansas
- Do you consider buying on-line Yes, in fact I somewhat prefer that idea.
- What is your budget Anywhere up to 1500$, maybe a little more if I have to.
V) Are you planning on building it yourself? Nope.
include
- How knowledgeable would you describe yourself (Example: Have you ever built and serviced a PC yourself?)
Good luck!
~
And that's that.
I know I need to give more information, but I'm unsure on what would work best with me at this point.
As mentioned earlier, I want to play games like WoW, GW2, and Tera without lagging in high populated areas and without having to sacrifice awesome graphics (got a taste of what I was missing >.< ) by lowering everything.
Any help appreciated, thank you kindly!

And thanks ahead of time to anyone that doesn't outright mock me for having a slow computer at this time.
