I thought Adv. Magic had been bad, but running into a dual gunner in pvp looks like it will be annoying as hell without one of the "Final" skills to close on them with.

Are you sure about that? Gunner classes have always been the most popular in games, least thats what I've noticed. It's not so much a growing trend as it's more of devs not adding it from the start.

I wonder what game will be next to add a Gunner class. C9 is adding the Bulletshooter soon it seems. When Aion 4.0 comes out to NA/EU in a few months, the Gunslinger and the Bard classes will come out. It's nice to see games adding unique archetypes to their list of classes. The sword and board, 2h sword, staff, wand, bow, daggers are way too popular.

Oh yeah. Vindictus will add Crossgun to NA within a month or so I believe.

It'll be nice to see new weapon types being made, as well as unique ones being utilized in MMOs.

I wish a well-made MMO would utilize the Flail weapon. It'd be badass! Flail has got to be the most badass weapon ever.

I was thinking of that, but I mean more so a specific flail-type weapon with attack skills corresponding to it. Flail can use the same skills as Mace. It's more so just personal preference.

What I'm chatting about is an actual weapon with its own skills. Runescape does come to mind. >.<
