Default Just finished Path of Exile and now again looking for that one MMO

lvl 76 hardcore and game ended. It's just repetitive grindfest onwards. Before Path of Exile I enjoyed Star Wars Galaxies on some server, until I noticed they allowed multi client and due to the infinite macros in that game it forces me to multi client characters, which is completely different experience than original SWG. Before SWG was WOW and I'm not even gonna bother to explain why I quit that. The overall dip in subs and the lack of players in NA servers says everything.

So I'm back into looking for one MMO that can keep a veteran player interested enough for more than 1-2 months.

    I'd recommend going out.

You make a tough case sir. It's barely been a month since PoE went open beta.

Go back to Starcraft II..? If Path of Exile didn't last 2 months, then I don't know what will.

World of Warcraft... You KNOW you want to.

But exercise increases your max stamina! And when you run out of stamina, your reaction-time gets slower.

Maybe play some console games? Look for some Japanese RPG with a female main character that has anime-cutscenes and voice acting... To mend your broken soul. I recommend watching Nausicaa. She has a jet-powered glider like in ArcheAge, and there are explosions. Path of Exile is seriously one of the best games out there. Maybe make a new account and sell the old one...

Thx for the recommendations Phenoca, but owning players in Starcraft II over and over is not my thing. I already was ranked #4 in US on the original Star Craft and dominated the ladder and played more 1v1, 2v2, 3v3 than 99.9% of the playerbase out there.

StarCraft II skillcap is far less demanding and simplified. I was also already 2nd in my Diamond league within first 10 days on release before I perma quit. Star Craft II also had far worse Battle net and ladder system to bother with compared to the original.

I miss the days when me and my friend were smurfing on different alias to destroy those 3v3 gankers or noob bashers.

Intelligence is a curse, since you run into more barriers. But also an asset, because you are more adaptable than others. I think the social aspect is what a lot of smart people lack (assuming you are smart, from your gaming history). Tryout for an eSports team. They will give you a structured practice schedule. If you never disagree with or blame any of your teammates, then you can make a few friends which can be funner than sologrind.

Maybe try PokerStars for cash IRL? Farming in Path of Exile could also net you some cash.

If you enjoyed Brood Wars you may also enjoy other retail RTS games that have come out in the past few years (not sure which ones have learning curves). I think that Bloodline Champions would keep you interested for a few days. Exact Aiming is also a good singleplayer game. I highly-recommend it. Very high skillcap I heard Quake has a high skillcap.

Reminds of one short on newgrounds from years ago, at the end this farmer just asks the main character "ya evar stump **** a sheep before? Y'see put em on this here stump and they can'ts get away, gotchu a good stump ****in" Or something along those lines.

Anyways OT, I suggest possibly some single player games maybe even revisit some old favorites. It's what I do when i get burnt out on mmos and the like.

If you have good stats and do livestreaming then you get fanboys. If you are friends with a livestreamer or have good stats, then you get haters. And if you link the haters to your profile, then they get jelly. eSports teams have some degree of social interaction, but they all break-up within 4 weeks. If it's a competitive team, they break-up after their first tourny. You're supposed to hate on bads, but it seems hating on pros is the new meta. I don't even... Don't bother linking a profile; they'll just keep hating.

@OP, i think you should engage in MoBA games like League of Legends or try Dragon Nest. that's what my friends are playing most.

If you must play Dragon Nest, play a swordmaster, since they have the highest skillcap until level 24. I wonder if there's any competitive PvP guilds left. I have an old video of us beating one of the top 2 Velskud guilds. But player drama broke us apart.

Hahaha, confirmed for young teenager. Ah I remember my Runescape days, where kids would just make up all sorts of stuff and try to brag about it.
