Make sure it has some good RAM and a decent processor. The motherboard should also have a PCI-E slot. Oh yeah and be sure you know what your getting before you get it.. I wouldnt suggest buying from anyone cept alienware. Most other comp. companys usually rip you off whether its a crappy motherboard (glares at dell) or anything else like that.

If i was you I would go with the deal at the link below.. www.ibuypower.com has pretty good deals but I'm not sure if they ship to Canada... You should check if they do... Heres the specs of the Computer and it's only $995

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 (2x 1.86GHz/2MB L2 Cache/1066FS This is the brand new CPU from intel thats outperforming all AMD cpus at the moment..

    Ram: 1024MB [512MB X2] DDR2-800 PC6400

Video Card: ATI radion X1600XT 256mb

Hard Drive: 250 GB HARD DRIVE

It comes with a cool case, KB/Mouse, Windows XP Media center edition, and also you can add different parts if you want.. You just customize it and they ship it but they add a little more per better part you add...

If you cant afford alienware, i would say to learn more about computer parts, like what's compatible with what...like some comps have motherboards compatible with certain processors, video cards, etc.

Actually DONT BUY A NEW COMP RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!! I WOULD SAY WAIT FOR DX10! WHEN DX10 COMES OUT THE BEST VIDEOCARDS OUT NOW WILL BE NOTHING!!!

I think they'll start introducing them around october or so.

I find your comment amusing considering Dell owns Alienware now

I would go with an ABS system, or an Alienware, or if you can swimg one of thier cheaper systems, Falcon-NW (they make the best gaming rigs, hands down)
