    Default Earwax problems

Anyone else have copious amounts of earwax? When I clean them, I get hunk after hunk after hunk. Most of the hunks are as big as my pinky nail! I have chronic hearing problems because of it. Some mornings, like for my early lab, I legit cannot hear anything out of my ear! I'm going "what" like half the time to my lab partners. It's ridiculous! I can post some pictures if u guys want (of the earwax).

i've had really wet/smelly ear wax for like the past 2 years and every once in a while ill wake up with one of my ears clogged, i've figured its just because im always wearing my noise canceling head phones like 8+ hours a day i also have a really bad habbit of itching and cleaning my ear with my finger when i'm laying in bed.

You could buy a ear cleaning/wax removal kit and try that, i've thought about it but its never been too much of a bother to actually try it.

Go to your doctor. It's a common problem and he/she will know how to best handle it.

I'm currently recovering from a middle-ear inflammation so I can relate for hearing badly. At least for the coming week or two. ><

I wonder if the earwax has been protecting me from hearing damage, so when I'm old and I get my ears cleaned I'll have super hearing.

I know you're supposed to regularly put a couple of drops of olive oil or something in your ears, but aint nobody got time fo' dat.

I always clean my ears after I had a shower, which is basicly every day, so I can't say if I have a problem or not.

I do, just like oister, have allergy problems. I got this dust mite allergy, and it litterally everywhere, and I have to blow my nose like every 2-3mins when I'm having dinner. Medicines don't work, and that the cat can't even sleep anywhere, but in my room and always lays in my neck, so I sometimes wake up with a extremely soar throat and even red eyes. I also have light skin issue on my left arm because of it, but I'm not really bothered by that.

I hear Q-tips can actually make the earwax issue even worse, as it mostly pushes the shit deeper instead of outward. Might be something a Doctor has to deal with if its to the point of causing problems. Ears clean themselves out naturally, so no need to clean the inside, but if the inside is like you say, doctor time.

I suffer from similar issues (have had ear wax issues since I was a kid, even had tubes put in my ears at a young age). If you really want to clean your ear out use some hydrogen peroxide, when you pour some in your ear it will feel like pop rocks in your ear, when that feeling stops then just tip your head over and let your ear drain into a paper towel or something and it will be gross, then just flush the ear with some warm water and you should be good for a while. When you do that you should be laying on your side with your ear parallel to the ceiling.

Ya, the hydrogen peroxide never works on its own. I usually do it to loosen it up some before I go at it with a little pick.

You can buy some ear scoop things from most general stores. They're usually pretty good at getting it out.

one time I had to have a doctor spray water into my ear and delicately scrape around inside of my ear to dislodge a clump that was stuck in there and muffling my hearing
