Oh dear...I really hope this doesn't end in a cancellation for the US release. I honestly think that would make me cry, this is one of those games I've been hoping to get my hands on ever since PSU failed so miserably. I must have played PSO for a good 500+ hours if you count all its various versions from the original to BB, I want this one too =/

Very disappointing. Not only has there been no real talk about the English version's release, but rumors went around that Sega was trying to keep it in JP only for the longest time. I sincerely do hope it comes out sooner than later, because games really do get out-dated and become a stale waiting game quickly.

I've tried it, there's just too much that isn't translated, the constant need to tab out and use guides drives me crazy. That, and none of the story is translated, or at least it wasn't back when I first tried the patch. I know, PSO isn't about the story, it's about the loot, but I loved the story anyway. I've been playing Phantasy Star since it's first game on the Megadrive.Originally Posted by mattman994

I don't think they'd be interested in a Vita release, honestly. Japan is, because a lot of their video game culture is around the Sony Play Station consoles, just like the US especially likes it's Xbox :P (although all of this is complete guessing). I think the main reason for delay is how attached Sega JP is to their game, and that they don't want to let NA release it until its perfect, and it never will be to them. @_@
