Gargantia

The story begins in the distant future in the far reaches of the galaxy. The Human Galactic Alliance has been constantly fighting for its survival against a grotesque race of beings called "Hidiaazu." During an intense battle, the young lieutenant Redo and his humanoid mobile weapon Chamber are swallowed up into a distortion of time and space. Waking from his artificially induced hibernation, Redo realizes that he has arrived on Earth, the planet on the lost frontier. On this planet that was completely flooded by the seas, people live in fleets of giant ships, salvaging relics from the seas' depths in order to survive. Redo arrives on one of the fleets called Gargantia. With no knowledge of the planet's history or culture, he is forced to live alongside Amy, a 15-year-old girl who serves as a messenger aboard the Gargantia fleet. To Redo, who has lived a life where he knows nothing but fighting, these days of peace continue to surprise him.

Well this anime just took my number 1 spot for best anime this season, i'm so depressed that its only 12 episodes though, this seems like it could easily be Eureka Seven 2.0 if they had a good 50 episodes to flesh out the characters, so far though i'm really impressed by the first 2 episodes, the only thing i dislike is the mech design.

I saw the eps so far, looks good. But it's my number 2 spot. Number 1 is attack on titan, that first ep was epic, reminds a lot of gantz manga.

I was thinking about watching this anime a few days ago, it seemed really cool. I'm really loving Devil survivor and Hataraku Maou right now.

I relly like how they introduced the "I dont know where I am"aspect so far and if they continue with the similation to a new society I think it might mke my #1 spot for Si-Fi anime this year(coz I really like that aspect when difference in tehnology is present) but as for my #1 nime of the yer it will probblly be Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru(well from the ones that rent continuation of previous series)Thats becouse it reminds me of the best tings Bakemonogatari(and the other parts of the seriies)as well Sket Dance and a litlle of The World God Only Knows and to top it of its set in my favorite Genre(Every day Life)

Well I am looking forward to a lot of animes but I think this two are a must wach(and any continuation of a series)

Attack on titan is looking to be really good too, definitely a must watch, titan and gargantia will probably bounce around in my number 1 and 2 spots.

I didn't like the manga for Titan to much, the first few chapters just seemed to be poorly written/designed. I plan to check out the first anime episode here in a bit, so hopefully it's a bit better than the manga.

Edit: forgot to mention, Gargantia is damn amazing. One of the best anime I've seen in a while. Kinda reminds me of Last Exile, in terms of how it resonated within me.

Anyone got any similar anime (either in story, or epicness) to suggest that we watch while waiting for the next episode?
