So I have characters that are around mid level in both games and im trying to decide on what game I want to stick with to get a max level char. I'm still relatively new to both games so I'm wondering which one would be worth it in the long run? I don't have much in depth information on either game I'm just going off of my impressions so far.
I enjoy GW2's fluid combat that feels very action oriented but on the other hand kind of disappointed in the lack of skills there are to choose from as you level up. It doesn't feel as rewarding if you cant look forward to getting that awesome new skill at level XX. Although weapon swapping kind of makes up for this a bit, it still doesn't feel like your character is changing very much as you gain levels. It's mostly the gear that changes your character. However there are a lot of well designed features in GW2 that make the game a lot more intuitive.
I really like Rift's soul system and the fact that there are so many combinations/roles to choose from and you can switch between them on the fly. I also like how they set up the dungeon queue and pvp queue systems and how you can just join a dungeon party or warfront at any moment. However the combat system can be a little bit stale at times and kind feels more like WoW. Plus traveling around the world is a lot more annoying in rift since you have to walk everywhere as there seem to be very few places where you can warp to or have portals, unless I'm just completely missing something. In comparison to Gw2 where you can warp between load points all around the world at any time. Overall I would say Gw2 is designed a little better.
Can someone explain what both games have in terms of endgame content, both pve and pvp? Maybe you could share some of your experiences if you've played either one?
