Curious why little attention to Dragon's Prophet

I'm normally a basher of MMO's these days, but I'm actually enjoying this one. Tamable mounts/pets, lots of customization, player housing etc. F2P model which isn't too rough either...

Why is there such little attention on this game?

Maybe people have learned that runewaker isn't exactly the garantor for fair free to play.

I donno. I'm on N/A version and the SOE marketplace isn't bad. It's all convenience-oriented stuff.

Oh, and even in the SOE-shop, all of the convenience items can be bought by getting dailies currency (which you can repeat like 5 times a day).

As for me I like the look of the combat but besides that the game doesn't appeal to me that much. I'm not a huge fan of the whole dragon based game and the graphic style.

Guess i'm too used to anime inspired games but that's just me.

I barely play any F2P anymoar, since I have money now and P2P is less expensive than F2P...
(Last F2P I enjoyed was Mabinogi, I really had fun on this one, the atmosphere was great)

Also as far as Dragon Prophet goes, I logged in, saw the animations and uninstalled the game.
And with RO2, I logged in the game, saw the camera and uninstalled the game.

I have some standards and those 2 things are the most important for me to be able to get into a game without it feeling like a chore.

I been playing dragon prophet more then neverwinter i like you can find different skill on each dragon is has it own type sandbox skill system

Because the game is another puke from asian market? Animations are crap, combat is clunky and graphics are meh. And on top of all that its gameplay is generic, repetitive, boring and dull. Pets/dragons is a cool feature, but it wont buy me. There are good amount of quality mmorpgs that went from p2p to f2p and I'd take them any day over this crap.

Some people just don't like certain aspects, take me for example. I really wanted to like the game but the combat just felt so slow and ass compared to other games, even Eclipse of Edin and Divine Souls had better and much more fun combat.

There's barely any marketing behind the game, it's spreading almost exclusively through word of mouth.

First three Dragon's Prophet videos have 298,000 204,000 and 77,000 views on Youtube? I wouldn't say it's "underhyped".

It was more or less hyped up to be good then ended up being a steaming pile of garbage. Thats literally why no one plays it, why its garbage exactly? Well thats a person by person basis. For me its the combat but for the others its graphics.

Well, I play it, but here are the reasons it's sort of.... crap.

1) With each update the engine gets worse
2) Game wasn't ready for OB yet if you consider the amount of bugs, glitches and exploits.
3) Attack delay, even with 10-20ms.
4) High levels that have already caught a ancient dragon, just spawn themselfs at the locations it usually fly's to keep killing it, so they're the only ones with a ancient.
5) Rabbit dragons....

It's a good game imo, currently playing eu version, cash shop isn't so bad, everything in it can be pretty much earned by doing dailys.

Can't speak for everyone, but for me it's the dragons, I'm so %#$*&%&#$ sick of dragons, it's been done to the point I want to never hear of them ever again, and yet, they are in every damn fantasy game. And to have a game centered around them, causes me instant disgust.

Exactly. That means that the combat in EVE is inherently less "exciting" (less actiony), and therefore more "boring" than a majority of other MMOs. What makes EVE's combat fun is not the combat itself, but the risks behind the combat and the effort that goes into the combat before it even happens. You do repetitive tasks (missions, mining, crafting, transporting, rating, etc...) to buy skill books, ships, parts, etc.. for combat which is basically a few right clicks then a few left clicks with the occasional well-timed left click for activating some kind of module.

When have I ever said hotkey combat is boring.

And there are tons of Ancient dragons ranging from lower levels to higher levels, they're not all camped and with multiple channels on the server to it makes it alot easier.

I mean 8 channels is 8 Dragons for just that one dragon, then you can always get flutes to help find ancients, if it's summoned the dragon is yours, providing your able to catch it.

Graphics wise i think the game is fine, they're plenty games with graphics and worse, graphics seem fine.

You're probably playing the sony version then, cause the EU one, the Osira server only has 4 channels and the spawn rate is from 24 hours to 4 days.

It did have 8 channels xD only got cut down to 4 recently.

I'm on EU ver Klieos server
