Microsoft shot themselves in the foot. Making used and borrowed games require charges, the need for internet, and just overall lackluster unveiling. Sony saw the mistakes of Microsoft and capitalized on the situation.

Sony has definitely won the opening battle. As they say though, you may have won the battle, but the war isn't over.

Would be nice to see some actual numbers.

    Good stuff though.

    I read that the win ratio was 3:2 (3 PS4 pre-orders on 2 XBox One pre-orders).

I feel like even if Microsoft changed their policy completely, its already almost too late for a large percentile of the gaming community. People like us, the people who follow gaming news and games may be swayed in either direction.

However, the moms, the younger kids, the casual gamers...on black Friday when everyone is in a frenzy to buy this years hottest electronics are going to remember all this terrible publicity. It takes a lot for positive things to make the news, but they're always happy to report on the negatives. I heard things about the negative reaction to the XBO on my local news channel. They NEVER report on gaming. It'll take a lot of PR work for MS to recover from this. Its not just an issue that was confined to our communities. I'm very interested to see how this plays out.
