    Hey guys, I'm planning to get a new computer (my laptop's killing me), and I was hoping you guys could give a second opinion on the parts my friend picked out for me. My budget's $750-1000ish.

    What about the case and storage HDD? SSDs might be fast but you only want to put apps there that you need to run often. So music, movies and pictures don't belong there, as well as game installs or games you play like once a week.

    With that setup I wouldn't really buy a 660GTX if I were you, sure that videocard is good, but it'll be old in a year. You might want to get the 770gtx Bought one aswell last week, can definitely recommend one. As for the Samsung SSD, I heard some pretty bad stories about samsung and their SSDs, but I'm not really sure what types those were.
