Reputation: 490Probably because it sold well when it was $13 during the Steam Summer Sale. That's just a guess, though. I would say buy it if you have the extra $10, as it may not currently be the best game out there, but there is still potential and $10 is the price of a (small) meal. Hell, it's cheaper than a movie ticket. I went ahead and bought it. Dunno if I'll ever get time to play it, though.

Reputation: 20Defiance. Firefall is only full farming and with no story. There are some few different events in a little world that make you boring very fast
yeah, I know, tons of grammar errors. Sorry :-(
Reputation: 34Defiance is a open online world boardland game and pso2 the drops have different status on the weapons. it storyline base on the tv show on sci fi
My vote goes to Defiance. I like the graphical style better, and the controls/gun types are far greater than that of Firefalls selection.
i also like the linearity and more story/pve focus that Defiance brings to the table. On top of story quests and side quests there are races, rampages (Survival type minigames), and tons of dynamic events, and when you go to do the dynamic events there is always 10+ people perticipating, and it really makes the huge battles that much more enjoyable. That and the regular content updates don't hurt either.
I do like how traveling works in Firefall with the Jet Packs, and hang gliders, and the assault classes plasma cannon is akin to that of a spinfuser in tribes, so that was kind of fun for awhile. The crafting system is clunky and unintuitive. Even after 30+ hours of game play my purpose isn't clear. PvP is pretty annoying as its ALL assault frames jet packing with plasma cannons. If I wanted to deal with that kind of gameplay I would play Tribes, Unreal Tournament, or Quake they all do it better in every imaginable way.
I think if Firefall would have released a year or two ago it would have been a new fresh experience. But with Defiance, and Planetside 2, and Tribes Ascend, etc.. The list goes on of games that outshine Firefall imo.
I paid full price for Defiance and I think it was a worthy investment.
