I just hope it's less susceptible to hacking compared to the previous version. That's what ultimately ruined it for me and made me start waiting for the standalone.

"Come on, this is obvious, but it still must be stated: the reason why the DayZ standalone is taking so long to come out is because the game is moving to a client-server structure like an MMO. That means, in theory, that hackers will be a thing of the past, which is truly wonderful. No longer will you have to worry about a random drop from the sky, or a spawn in the middle of a barbed-wire pen, where you have to fight for you life. It’s going to be FAIR now.
