I played it in BETA 3, the story is solid, combat and everything else is generic as they come, no new technology or innovation....

If you play for the story you will like it.

If your looking for something new,fresh or innovation for next generation gaming EQ:Next or Wildstar will be the way to go...

Maybe it's not re-inventing the wheel but it doesn't even need to.
It does what it does well imo. Graphics are beautiful and gameplay really doesn't feel that "bad".
Then again I only played the early levels but I thoroughly enjoyed Phase 3 and am looking forward to OBT.

wild star and eq next are next gen games? lol not sure what makes them "next gen" games lmao, they dont bring to the table anything different.. eq has destructable terrain, pfft. diablo 3 had that aswell to an extent, and that game is trash lol. destructable terrain isnt going to make a game :P FF14 will bring to the table what FF14 had before, and thats the gameplay, community, story, and style of game. i agree it doesnt bring anything new to the table, but thats because it brang it when the game was alive from before in v1.0
