The Korean 3D MMORPG Eclipse War Online which features transform system was suddenly shut down without any announcement on August 13rd. "The developer, Ndolphin Soft, didn't discuss it with us and closed servers without authorization. When we found that we tried to contact relevant staff of Ndolphin Soft, but we weren't able to contact them.", the game publisher said in a statement later.
Eclipse War Online's publisher explained, the servers and update data of the game are shared by both publisher and developer. However, Ndolphin Soft changed password of servers and deleted server-operation-related files without their permission. They will take legal action against Ndolphin Soft.
Currently, the publisher is trying to retrieve servers' password and relaunch servers. But as a gamer, can you still be calm and waiting for server relaunch if you encounter this kind of problem? Obviously, it's impossible. Eclipse War Online players are worried about their in-game items, character data etc. There are complaints and dissatisfaction everywhere.
Eclipse War Online just launched its Open Beta on May 29. I read that some of you want to see the game coming to western market in previous news comments. Now guys, just forget that. I hope we will never meet an irresponsible game developer like that.
