Depends. Some of my friends bought the HTC one and are pretty disappointed. The manufacturing was done badly and there were spaces between the case parts. Also, you can't change the battery, nor extend the storage space. I'd say go either for the S4 or the s4 mini.

The S4 is faster, bigger battery, and lighter. Furthermore, the S4 has a removable battery and SD space. I have no clue why HTC would make the HTC One's battery and SD non-removable. However, I do like HTC One for it's metal material as well as the frontal speakers. S4 has a plastic case.
I really like HTC phones but I'm going to have to to the S4 this time. As for camera, the S4 has 13 Megapixel and the HTC One has 4 ultrapixel. This is up to you and based on opinions which is better but I find the HTC One does soooooo well in low light shots.
That's the Samsung Galaxy Note. There's nothing wrong with it. It's like a mini tablet so you don't have to carry 2 things at once. Not recommended for men though because our pockets can't hold it.
