Saw it coming.. The game was never super popular. It was a niche game with a niche player base, and they wouldn't get with the times. The same fate will eventually happen to other games like Darkfall and possibly even FFXIV, but it could take 8-10 years, so it doesn't really matter either way.
At least this company actually stuck to their guns and stayed P2P the entire time, and refused to follow the F2P train. It's a little sad though, because it could've elongated the game's run immensely, or even made it an ongoing success like RIFT. <-- Another example of a Western made MMO that went F2P.
