YouTube forcing Google + (rant)

UGH. Anyone else having to put up with this crap? It just took me like 20 minutes to figure out how to unlink and delete my Google+ page. Its ridiculous, the average Joe couldn't figure that out. I'm so sick of everything I do online having to be shared in a social network. For Christ sakes, I don't need my dad seeing my "smoke weed playlist" or my boss finding my "party hard st pattys day" playlist. Just because I email someone sometimes doesn't mean I want them to be my friends and see everything I do on youtube. Jeeeeze, I'm sick of this invasion of privacy that makes all of your activity public.

Google has always been pretty rad about stuff, but now they're turning into another facebook.

I have an own eMail for my Yt. I never linked it up to anything.

I would be so glad, if they had kept goodle and Yt 100% split. They think they can leverage G+ this way, but they devalue both platforms for me.

Exactly. I didn't have the foresight to have separate youtube and email accounts, because back when I made them Google + wasn't even a thing. Google may not have even owned youtube at the time. Now both accounts are years old, and I don't want to delete either one.

Fortunately I found a way to unlink youtube from G+, and then afterwards delete my G+ profile. It was stupidly hidden though, and I'm still not sure how exactly I did it.

I don't have Google+ to begin with. The only thing that connects me to Google is the YouTube account. Yes, I use my real name for the account and been doing so since the moment they first introduced it. Never really had any noteworthy problems with Google related accounts or YouTube. I must be in minority :3

I hope they never force me to use my real name. I mean, it'd be cool if it were just my first name since I use my first name everywhere (like here). I just don't wanna use my last name. :c

yea not sure what i did but it took both my firstt and last name. But i add i think one are to more ns to it

It forced me when I used the mobile app once. I couldn't favorite a video until I linked accounts.

Everytime i go on youtube it asks me for like different username to use. So annoying indeed.
