Ive played up to the same lv(20) on na dp the game didnt feel p2w sure i had 200sc from reregistering i spent it all on dragon storage which is helpful but not p2w. And dragon taming is easy if you put your stat points into dragon tamer if you arent then why are you expecting to easily catch everything? Only reason the game was really bad was because it wasnt optimized not a p2w aspect. I also might join again if its working properly now even on a decent pc people would have very low frame rates.

I'm currently playing, sadly. Looking for another game to get me off.
Dragon's Prophet is so pretty and everything looks great at first, but it's absolutely awful. I'm trying my best to quit.
At 70, the content was completely boring. They gave us a bugged dungeon and said run it over and over. They kept us playing with promises saying that 80 will be better. Level 80's out now, I've got several toons to cap, and there's nothing to do but run another lackluster buggy dungeon again.
Class balancing is awful; rangers can one shot everybody.
Pay 2 Win? Oh yeah. There are people spending thousands to upgrade their weapons and shards (Sockets) above others, which make an unimaginable difference. Skill-based combat is far from the actual game as they advertise it.
Costumes. Cosmetic cash shop items, right? Nope. You can socket them with dragon shards. Not only that, but the more costumes you have, the more sockets you can have. I've been a sucker for it and I have 10 costume sets (130-150 dollars right there) to keep up.
I've been playing since closed beta (there was no wipe after OBT), and I just now got my dragon's skill slots full. ONE dragon. They let you train dragons with other dragons and let their skills transfer between them and you can have up to 10 skill slots on a dragon, but the rate is abysmal. You're given three free trainings each day and each additional training costs 50 cents. I've spent maybe 200 dollars and used my 3 free trainings every day for these what, four months? and just filled up one dragon. Pay for convenience is a stretch.
As for weapon upgrades, on my guardian (melee), I received a purple 2h sword drop that was filled with magic stats. It costed about 30 dollars to change the stats to melee stats.
Leveling is a grind. An Incredible grind.
My friend's list, at the max of 99 with level capped-hardcore players.
There are 2 online right now on a saturday in the middle of the day. These are all testers since closed/open beta who loved the game. My bet is, 1 of them is AFK.
My entire guild left the game because they promised us PVP at the open beta launch and it still hasn't been implemented. I'm currently the only person online in a guild of 140.
The game is a total ghost town.
I want you to read through this thread. Feel free to move a section out and look at the other ones.
    https://forums.station.sony.com/drag...ne-cares.7089/

You'll notice reading through the forums that EU is absolutely toppling SOE's care of the game. SOE has ONE man working on the game, Rod "Dartok" Haza. Infernum has 30+.
Dartok (bless his heart) says he has his GM character and another character that he uses to experience the game from the view of a normal player. That character is still level 60, which was the level cap 3 months ago.
They've just announced level 90 to the EU/NA versions. TW already has it, and they're complaining about it being a copy+paste of 70/80 areas.
Like I said with the buggy dungeons, it's pretty much parallel but in a different looking area (Hardly tbh). 70 / 80 / 90 caps are just copy+pastes of each other, grabbing money each time. There's no real endgame, and people hit 80 and quit. That's what I plan on doing very soon. Trying new games.
I used to love the game so much, on youtube I'm Ebonystallion and I contacted you in CBT about DP and decided to buy a founder pack. I don't regret buying the pack, it was great while it lasted. But the game is a very poorly thought out piece of junk.
My guild as I said was a hardcore pvp guild so they definitely participated in the p2w aspects.
I know people who've spent well over 5 grand each who easily walked away from the game because it was so bad.

Trying to get perfect dragons or anything is always like that you need to spend money to get it effectively its like this in every mmo.
Tiny inventory yea its a problem I acknowledge that but thats still every mmo they give you a little bit to make you want to cash in.
Dragon slots yea its I believe 1 or 2 on you dragons 2 lair slots and then I noticed recently(a month or two ago) theres another storage and it has about 15 slots in it dont take my word on how big it is as I havent played in that long.
stat transfering/resetting same as before every mmo you dont need perfect gear to play normally.
Balancing I wont get into since ive played only to 20 with ranger and the scythe class.

Ive seen people play to lv 40 which was the cap at the time i think its 50 or 60 now fully f2p with the limiting storage and everything the only real issue they had before i stopped caring was getting boss dragons because big clans would always camp the spawns.

In the end it has the same cash shops as every other f2p mmo so stop calling it p2w because you do not need it to win you can do just fine playing normally. If you want to pvp thats your own fault as you know pvp is where you will have to sink money in to become "the best".
I apologize if this comes off as rude, but I don't think you know what you're talking about. It is most definitely pay to win and it's clear that you have not really played the game as the level cap was never level 40, it started at 60, raised to 70, and is now 80. Charisma does not allow you to catch more dragons. That says a lot about your post. It's perfectly okay that you haven't played much, but if you haven't experienced the content then you cannot be judging it or telling him that he's wrong.

You're welcome Apoca, I'm sure you can feel my rage bursting out of that post! I'm one of the many who've spent way too much money and have been very disappointed after contributing so much to the development (I've spent maybe a grand, not nearly as much as others).
Although the good thing about DP is the customer support. I think SOE in general has great CS.
Im sorry but no it is you who is wrong it did atleast increase it when I played if you played when it first came out you'd know this.
Take a look at this post from august 13th http://dragonsprophet.tumblr.com/pos...tribute-system
the important part to look at is.

We strongly believe attributes should be about supporting each individual’s unique play style, so one of the most important changes affects Charisma. We don´t want players to simply focus on Charisma to be able to capture rare dragons since this limits the overall play style and gaming experience. Therefore, Charisma will no longer affect the difficulty of taming a dragon. For that we introduce a new kind of attribute you can only find only on gear: Draconic Influence.

Now I said what i knew but atleast look up the info for yourself because it wouldve been nicer if you said it did instead of going on about it doesnt.

I dont mean for this to come off as rude as well I want to point out. Its just that it did affect it i'd just like it if you acknowledged it instead of instantly dismissing it as wrong.

If we take a look at your posts, you are stating that Charisma increases your dragon taming in the present tense, nothing about how it happened in the past. You were telling another that it does still affect that, so I simply said it doesn't because it doesn't. However, I'm glad you've learned.

There are a bunch of floating islands that you have to use portals to get to and travel around. Once you're on an island, the houses aren't instanced. Each island also has a citadel where alliances fight each other for control of the island and then later on they will get the ability to tax the islands residents and such.

How is the dragon taming in that? Is there any customization of the dragons, are some clearly better than others, do they play a good part into the game?
