Any of y'all got a Kindle Fire HD?

I'll be using it mainly for web browsing. Kinda disappointed in its lack of camera, but whatever. Just mostly for netflix/reddit/onrpg/kotaku/random sites. I currently use my phone but its a POS for the most part. I don't wanna buy a $500 phone. I figure this'll do a good job for what I need. Everywhere I go has wifi so I really don't care about 3G crap that I'd never pay for anyway.

They have the 16gb version for $99 on Black Friday. I might fight the lines and try to grab one.

Edit: Seems theres an 8gb one for $70 also. Thats way better for me since I won't be storing much on it anyway.

I have the Kindle Fire HD and it does have some advantages over the Nexus 7 like a better screen and sound. Also its fairly easy to root with directions online so you can have all the apps that the Nexus 7 can run. I personally think its better for watching Netflix and other video sources, but most people will blindly praise the Nexus 7.

Screen is actually the same with the Kindle and N7. So does sound (both stereo and available surround). Battery? My 2012 N7 lasts 3-4 days with moderate use. Up to a week with barely using it even.

As for rooting, the N7 is king of it for the tablets. **** it up? Flash again, it's virtually impossible to hardbrick it. Something happened to your tablet while having it rooted or modded? Asus will gladly repair it for you under warranty without *****ing. N7 also gets priority on a lot of Android updates.

Kindle doesn't do really do this. The custom Android-version also slows the device down.
Don't forget that Oisterbro is going to get the cheapest version of the Kindle. Have fun with your ads on your screensaver.

Haha my gaming room is really small. Its not quite THAT small, but its about half of that. Its about 9x12 but its shaped weird and has some indents and 1/2 inch thick wood on the walls, so it shrinks down the usable space to only about 80 inches.
