Seyken: Crystal Kingdom taken offline by cease and desist order

I believe this game was brought up a few times here, it was an indie mmorpg of sorts inspired by Secret of Mana and classic SNES rpgs like that.

The first article I ran into about it after deciding I need more info to show than just 'I got it in an email newsletter!' was this.

If what the artist said is true and this is just a matter of not paying a couples months worth of royalties...why not just pay the man? Is throwing away years of work really worth it?

Well he can make the game again just remove his graphics and find someone else. I think artiest want more money than what he code the game. The person who makes the game should be getting more the money then an artist who make graphics never does the programming. graphic

I can't blame him, that pixel art is excellent quality and there doesn't seem to be a lack in quantity, either. I haven't played the game in a long time but I did try it when the game got a bulk of the artwork and the artwork was definitely a higher caliber then the game itself at that time.

So.... the artist guy who ripped graphic from Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu 3 sent C&D to the dev for using his arts ?

Saw the email about this, it sucks to hear but at the same time I never even got the game to work for me, always screwed up when I was loading in, doubt I was missing much though.
