WoW account hacked 3 years ago...

... and now I want to play again. I know I had all the expansions, all I need is Mists of Pandaria, but apparently my account had been hacked, so it doesn't look like I have Cataclysm or anything else but the starter pack. But I'm not sure, do I have to buy all the expansions again, or just Mists of Pandaria?

This is what battle.net tells me:



As you can see, he got me banned. So does that mean I lost my expansions as well, or?..

Yeah, you've more or less lost everything since expansions are tied to specific accounts. If it really wasn't you who got yourself banned you should try contacting blizzard support, it's not too hard to get back your account. Worst case scenario you just buy the battlechest through the starter account for like 10 bucks and it includes everything except for MoP.

they will most likely unban you..
I had the same issue and a bunch of my friends... and you just have to go thru their support and they will fix up your account

Blizzard security is pretty weak... everybody seem to lose their account and yet havent had issue with any of my other accounts, doesnt seem to be my end...

its pretty messed up because these account hacks will somehow play on your account while your account unactive too... because my friend said his account was hacked yet they manage to steal items,and farm mining but there was no active time on the account (and we are aware of 7 days trial etc, still wasnt active)

Try to get it unbanned.

I ended up with over 5k gold in WotLK and another 3-4k in items just because they hacked my account and because I managed to retrieve it before they could transfer it.

MoP was announced in 2011? What the hell did the hacker buy? And he apparently used some of my money as well. Weirdly enough, I didn't notice a thing.

Well they've unblocked my account, after only a day So that's great, but I might get one of those authenticators when I start playing WoW again. How is the new monk class?

Most accounts are not hacked, its just the owned was stupid at some point. Man in the middle attacks are becoming more common and automated, thus making authenticators useless. Really it comes down to not being stupid on the internet, but then again the moron squad will continue to scream hack.

i am pretty sure its Blizzard's end... because Steam is super popular yet dont hear people losing their accounts as much as Blizzard account...

People lose their steam accounts a lot too, but steam guard slows it down some.

They can do all roles pretty well, haven't played a monk since the beta for MoP but a friend of mine has one for every role and says its pretty fun no matter which role you pick.
