Default Should I buy FFXIV a realm reborn

Hey guys, was hoping you could help me out.

I am considering buying this game but before I do, I need to know if its a good match for me (since I have a very limited budget to spend on games). Plus this game doesnt offer any trial or demo.

I did read a bunch of reviews, but they really didn't help me much.

Anyways, here are a few things about me
-- I havent played many mmorpgs
-- a recent mmorpg I liked quite a bit was neverwinter online
-- I like PvP A LOT more than PvE
-- can do (on average) 11 to 14 hours of gaming each week
-- NEED end game content, but not too much grind to get to the end-game
-- I havent really played any Final Fantasy games before
-- I prefer the combat to be atleast a little action orriented

    On a technical note
-- Is the game region free (if I buy in US, can I play on/from EU or JP ?)

-- will I be able to player it at medium to high settings with my specs:
    2450m i5 2nd gen processor
7690m XT graphics card (equivalent to a 6670 HD )
    resolution 1366 x 768

Honestly, it's not a bad game, the only thing really different is the class system as basically everything else can be found in rift.

I say class system can pretty much be found in rift, but the crafting is apparently completely different.

Well, I'd try TERA or Wushu before you go and buy ffxiv

Tryed yesterday thanks to promotional price but stopped at level 11, generic hub farming point & click, quest are horrible and force you to move up and down again and again and again, the only good thing is the fantastic graphic and the cutscenes, rest is the same old grindfest.
Sad they don't use an action combat.

Seems that only new sandbox in the making catch my interest, after so many years of generic games i guess i'm 100% sick of all these clones. :|

Loving it since it's a combination of grind and quests. End-game is the same as other MMOs; grind that currency to buy the end-game gear etc. That's pretty much it. And of course, big fan of Final Fantasy series, so I guess I'm biased lol.

    I actually really enjoy FF:AR

Id say go for it. 2.1 releases really soon so that'll bring in the pvp.

Ill most likely go back in and give it a go if AK doesnt stick.

    Eh, it's a pretty watered-down themepark MMO.

Want to do a bunch of boring quests over and over again whilst mostly playing solo in a multiplayer game?

    Perfect game for that.
And if the cloud bursts, thunder in your ear.

You shout and no one seems to hear.

Not that I am one to disagree with Cingal but he might not be accurate here. If you play this game you don't get ****ing anywhere playing solo, it is most likely the dumbest thing to do after 50. You can play solo until 50 (Not even long LOL) and craft and what not, you'll need competent people after.

As much as I dislike the game, I can't say that.

You almost don't even touch quest on your first run through. I'll give the story quest is annoying because it's mandatory, but if we look pass that there are no repeatable quest. The Fate system pretty much nulls what you said about soloing because you pretty much go from fate -> Story quest -> end game raiding.
I think it's just what it tries to be a polished themepark.

FATE grinding kinda kills it for me. Way too rewarding for so little effort. It gives you seals, and it's fast exp. You just follow the zergs and tag a mob or two. Done.

Yes I agree, Zerging is annoying and boring. Not only in this game, but all games, arguably this game is a solo game because of that lack of communication.
