    Default Work related question

I work for Sprint btw. So the 4th week of this month every rep is working 6 days cool. But the 3rd week only me and the lead rep are working 6 days the 6 other reps and the assistant mngr along with the store manager all have two days off. I wasn't even asked if i wanted to work 6 days. Is this legal? Any thing i can do? Or em i being a brat and should just suck it up..

We normally have two days off every week. I work full time so i am required to do 80 hours every two weeks.
I am located in boston, mass if that makes a difference.

If they pay you for the extra hours then why not.

Yea they do pay me for the extra hours. I also get paid over time for anything i do past 80 hours.

But its more about being able to have free time for my self just like the managers and all the other reps. I enjoy having my day off. Specially around this time of the year where i have to do christmas shopping but mostly because i want to rest. I deal with customers constantly while im here

pretty sure it's not illegal to make you work more than other employees, and they don't have to ask for your opinion. if the employer was considerate, they might ask. that sucks, though.

I would say suck it up and learn how to cope with long work times. Get used to working hard and it'll be easier for you to deal with any kind of job.
I work 10 days straight and have 4 days off straight. Might sound awesome but getting through those 10 days was a nightmare in the beginning and having 4 days off in a row actually feels kind of too much and by the 3rd day I just don't know what to do with myself.

So yeah, just get used to working long and hard so no job is an obstacle in the future just because it's "too hard".

Well im use to working long hours i have worked in sales since 16 im 22 now. & i do overtime even when i have my 2 days off.

I would like to work 10 days straight and get 4 days off. I have worked 11 days straight with only two days off so you actually have it pretty good

You at least get payed for extra hours. All they give us is just an extra day off. I will take the extra money instead any single day.

    I don't think it's illegal.

And unless there is some weird tension in your workplace regarding you, I'd take it as an opportunity to show of yourself as a good employee, and it might even be a sign that they like you working there. :/

I just really like money, so everytime my boss asks me to work more, I happily do so. Unless it's exhausting me, I'm good.

Unless you have a contract stating they will not require you to work over x amount of hours they can probably schedule you for whatever they want. Those laws differ from state to state so I can't be sure.
