Also uneducated on the subject but I would assume we would still see it, just a past version of it.
If I am not mistaken our vision is based on light and how it hits/reflects off objects.
So, before our vision registers it, it will have moved on.
That's assuming it is on a path headed directly at you and a light source was in place prior to it passing said source of light.
