Out of curiosity, what MMOs are out right now that are:
1. Have 1 or more active fansites
2. Have active guilds
3. Has an overall active community
I know World of Warcraft is the biggest and most active MMO out there. Same with SWTOR. Crappy thing is you have to be a paid subscriber to post on their forums. World of Warcraft has some cool fansites and tons of guilds though. SWTOR has MMO-Champion and a few Curse sites.
What other games do you guys know of with really big guilds and open communities? Planet of Exile, Neverwinter, Wildstar, Elder Scrolls.....
I've seen EVE Online and GW2 and I agree. Super active games with huge communities, though there aren't many active fansites. I've only seen tools, databases, guides, and resources. Not really external forums.
LOl ArcheAge....I actually discovered that game few days ago on Reddit....it's not bad and it's got a big active fansite on it.
Planet of Exile is ok....some activity in that game.
I've also checked out Final Fantasy but I wonder if you have to be a subscriber to post on the official forums? I have no idea if guilds exist in FF and what the big fansites are.
