    Default just got diablo 2 good class for beginner?

    Grandmum had some extra money and bought me the battle chest. I have never played the game before so was wondering what is a good class for a beginner? i like melee but magic is fine as well. thanks guys

    The barbarian is a good choice for a beginner. It's a melee class with some nifty abilities. My favorite is Find Potion. With that one I usually don't need to buy (many) potions.

    Paladin - Go blessed hammer / concentration - DESTROY everything but very rare act 3 hell monsters.
