In my opinion you really NEED to add some kind of story ...

just played for 20 minutes but it is really "bad" that you just get thrown into the game and there is nothing except going around fighting and catching pokemon ... well okay that is actually the whole point of pokemon but still there needs to be some story and dialogs ... and you should make signs readable like with mouse over or whatever so that the world feels more interactive !

both correct however right now they require too much work

but maybe in future
