They already do that with their browser MMORPGs: Lunaria Story, Fairy Tail Online, Pockie Saints/Ninja. :V

It's not just you, the sad reality is they all pretty much suck though (at least the English ones).
As for the people who don't understand why mobile MMOs are becoming popular: It is a huge market and someone can just pull a device out of their pocket when they have spare time and waste it away on their device. Not everyone has time to invest in PC MMOs which take a lot of dedication and time (myself included).
