Yeah, I agree with the larger pages coming in handy when the servers decide to start acting up. But I guess I'm to used to reading things in "book" format. I feel like I'm reading a scroll when reading a lot of webtoons. I think part of what makes it so annoying to me is just my personality. It seems lazy to do it that way, as it's not really needed except to make it appear longer than it really is. If they put the images together like it's traditionally done, you'd only get five-ten pages per release (if that). The white/black spaces between the images just fills like the filler episodes in long-running anime.
But yeah, it's just a personal thing. Nothing inherently wrong with the method, it just doesn't sit well with me.
I feel like there's another web comic that I read, but I can't remember it right now.

ill give it a shot. personally i dont find those spaces or large pages that annoying :P i havent even noticed the spacing until now lol. the large pages are handy for me as i tend to be reading faster and faster when things get exciting. + sometimes these manga servers seem to derp out, not wanting to load a page for 10-30 seconds so its nice to have a huge page to read trough
