It isn't and you shouldn't. I remember trying it in OB when it came out and it was boring as fuk. Generic azn cell-shaded MMO #9530. It died with a reason.

We need more azn cell shaded MMO of quality nowadays. Most good ol'grinders are dead and I'm gettin sick of rollercoasters a bit.

If I remember right, the class system was akin to FFXI's class system where you could borrow other classes spells. I can't remember that much else, didn't play it much back then, I was on RO.

Old school game, multiclass system like FFIV, flying system, less quest and more party boss/raids, dungeons, pvp , miniboss, and so on.
Classic 2005 game, guild and party oriented instead of quest lonewolf progression (yes the progression is kill mobs from zone to zone based on the level), social aspect is a huge part ot the game.

This game, even if dated, is still better compared to all clones we have nowadays, just like RO is still played.

Hope Subagames do a better management, to keep people play they need events and constant updates (fortunately the game is till supported and open by Softstar in Taiwan).

Up to you back or not, anyway we have only Archeage to play atm and is not f2p if you want advance properly, moreover new mmorpgs will be likely released next year.

So DOMO is pretty welcome, at least for me.

Guess I'll give it a try... FFXI Pre-Abyssea is my favorite MMO.

I'll likely try this out again for the sake of nostalgia, but I generally felt that I liked the systems present in DOMO more than I liked the game itself. It has some really neat ideas, but it was also a pretty standard non-challenging grinder and I remember only the party leader was able to get credit for killing storyline bosses so it meant you had to fight the same thing over and over in order for everyone in the party to progress the main quest chain.

That being said, the class system *is* extremely fun to play around with (and the classes themselves are often pretty creative) and I'd take a decent raw grinding game over one which forces you to level via questing any day since there's still a sense of exploration and freedom.

It died because of the lack of Dev support if I recall correctly. The game actually has a petty sizable cult following.

I was a strictly console gamer until my later teenage years and this is one of the first MMO's I ever got hooked on. I remember the day I finally got to fly around on my sword and how cool that was at the time, how silly the soulmate system was with all the people running around looking to score a real girlfriend , swapping classes and grinding rats, buying and selling pet eggs to make a small fortune coz people were f***ing bonkers over pets, blah blah good times blah blah.

I'll be playing when it launches for the nostalgia but I wouldnt be surprised if it sucked me back in.

The game had a very interesting multi class system. Every class had three sets of skills, one set is the base set that is only available if the class is your main class. The second set is a set of skills that are available even if the class is the sub-class. And the third set are the passives.

At any given time you have the main class main set, your main and sub classes' secondary set and passives from both main and sub classes. You had difficult decisions to make as to which skills to lvl and there weren't enough skill points to lvl too many skills. If you didn't lvl your sub-classes' secondary skill set skills they aren't available etc. The skills were all interesting and thematic based on class. (The Thief class actually had a steal ability (uncommon in mmos), there were like 3~4 different types of mages to choose from all with specialized unique mechanics and interesting job-sub synergies)

To top it off you also had stat distribution so you could further focus yourself on crit, attack speed or base damage, or be either beefy with high health or have high evasion.

There was some interesting theorycrafting involved, and the overall system was very very nice. Your character felt unique.

The graphics were okay, it had a nice stylistic appearance to the colors. BUT, the character designs and the animations were incredibly INCREDIBLY poor. All the races had ridiculously awkward movement, attack and skill animations. The human race design was terrible, they looked like stick figures. The midget race also looked terrible.

In the end, the game had a very very interesting ability and stat customization options but fell short in delivering good visuals.
