    Default LF MMO Not Combat-Centered

    Hey Everyone,

Like the title says, Im looking for an mmo thats not combat-centered. It can be about pretty much anything form city building to exploration and commerce as long as its not focused entirely on combat.

I have played pve in lotro for years, then pvp in rift for a long time. Then I tried other games only to find that I no longer enjoy these activities. I'm looking for something different. It doesnt have to be completely peaceful, but you know what I mean.

Additionally, here are some thing that I'd like to avoid:
    * It shouldnt be very old like Uncharted Waters or very new like Archage or ESO.
    * It shouldnt be very offbeat like Minecraft or Trove.

Preferably f2p but p2p is ok.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

    Mining/crafting in Entropia?

Crafting is hard to get started into but mining is good even for beginners.

Indeed, you have quite a bit of freedom in Mabinogi.
Gathering mostly, crafting, exploring, music playing, getting treasures from the desert with L sticks (That thing's very fun to do actually :3).
Mind you combat is still important and one of the main facet of the game, but if you don't feel like it, theres definitely alot to do outside of it.

Not a big fan personally, but the other MMO that comes to mind is Eve online, in this one I'd say the other options are quite viable (being a miner/trader) infact if you play those, you most likely want to avoid having anything to do with combat.

Wurm is a fantastic game. And, in the past year or so, the game has "officially" released and development has been booming. Some amazing new graphics, better interface changes, more awesome stuff to build, grow, and raise (animals). It is one of the few games were you can play and enjoy and always have something to do, all without ever touching the combat in the game. I loved being a chain smith on the Epic server cluster. My Fo priest alt was also part of what was essentially a covenant of Fo priests who had a base of operations up in the mountains, we got together, linking ourselves, and enchanting weapons pretty frequently. There's just something insanely cool about that.

In all honestly, it's probably my all-time favorite MMORPG. Even over my much-loved Star Wars Galaxies.

He apparently tried TROVE, and so Minecraft wouldn't work out well.

And here I thought it was a joke. Because that's totally a joke name for Minecraft.

Glad to see such love for Wurm in this thread!

To clear up a few things others had posted:
Dragons (and other 'uniques') now respawn on a somewhat regular basis. (everyone couple of weeks it seems a unique respawns...although that is spread over a number of servers so might be a few months before you see one near you)
Open world PvP is only on Chaos/Epic servers. You can play on the Freedom servers which have no PvP and have loot restrictions meaning you can make your things 100% safe from other players

I would highly recommend Wurm, although only if you're willing to put in some time before making up your mind. It is daunting at first, although once you figure things out, it becomes awesome.
Also, the community is insanely good for a mmorpg. Never before in an online game have I met so many friendly, genuine people. People willing to spend hours of their time to help you.
