Borderlands Pre Sequel

Anyone buying? I'm really really torn about it. Generally if a game is coming out I know 100% if I want it or not. I absolutely love Borderlands/2 and would put it in the top 5 games of last gen. But I felt really burned by the massive amount of DLC from BL2...when I put $60 into a game and have to pay another $60 on top of it (regardless of how much more content) I feel ripped off.

Might just wait for the GOTY version and get all the DLC and the game for $60...but I guess that's a long way off.

I dunno. I really do wanna play as claptrap.

Ugh, those midnight releases make me feel old though.

i'm gonna buy it on pc, but not for 50 euro, , there are enough sites that have the game for much cheaper, so far 34.99 euro is the cheapest i've seen.

season pass and the likes can also be found cheaper if you look a bit around, so....

I'm going to buy it during any sales and when I have money after paying for other things, like FFXIV Re-sub, Lords of the Fallen (PS4), FF Type-0 HD.

I'm willing to bet it'll be at dropped to about $40 @ GS on black friday. Maybe I'll just try to grab it there. I like to get PS+ instead, but I have a few years of that stacked so maybe not lol.

IDK I was so stoked for BL2 I honestly didn't even get much sleep the night before. But this one I'm having trouble getting excited for. I dunno why. Maybe it's because it's so soon after BL2? I dunno.

same, but thats probably it wasnt advertised much or any at all. borderlands 2 was a huch step forward compared to 1 with new physx and everything, tbh i dont know anything about this pre sequel yet other then a couple things i better not spoil

I just remember everyone being so hyped for BL2...I'm crossing my fingers that the lack of enthusiasm for this new one doesn't effect the chances of getting a solid BL3 on a fresh planet and stuff...'cause I'd be all over that.

To be fair there's a lot of content in the OG games, but they release a bunch of mission packs and raise the level cap twice in the past. For BL1 I hopped on late and got the DLC free somehow, BL2 I bought day one and said "no, I don't want to spend another $30 on a season pass, that's stupid"...and then I realized I'm now expected to pay $90 for a game instead of $60. Left me kinda salty, especially when the level cap raises weren't free...c'mon. I'll probably buy the DLC but it'd be nice to level up first.

I dunno. There's so many good games coming out lately (Shadow of Mordor, Evil Within, Littlebigplanet 3, The Walking Dead season 2, The Wolf Among Us [retail editions <]) that's like $260 without Borderlands...I think I can wait on Borderlands. If it had even a shitty port to PS4 I would have gotten it, but it's on PS3 and I have a buttload of games for that on my backlog.

just sharing this website here, it shows shift codes for all platforms (u can get 14 golden keys right now), skill planners for all classes (including the 5th char that will be added later in a DLC) and some more cool stuff

Seen it played, it's pretty much borderlands 2 with new quests.

There is really no reason to buy it if you have BL2, it's the same thing in low grav.

with your logic theres no reason to buy any sequel of any game series.. makes no sense, no point in buying diablo 2 or 3, or darksouls 2, since its all the same right?

game adds new characters-new skills, new weapon types like lazer weaps, slam ability, a new story in an area thats nothing like pandora and ofcourse a shit ton of new jokes to be found on your journey. oh and a kickass soundtrack thats a different style from the first 2 games

to be fair, diablo 2 and 3 are pretty different from each other...diablo 2 caters more to retro-style, old school gamers. diablo 3 caters to the OOHHHH-SHINY!!! modern players.
