Obviously, yes. I hope this update helps to regain some, if not most of the playerbase back. At least long enough until Drop 4, where the bulk of the game's core problems will be fixed.

People are so pampered these days, i remember raiding a dungeon in EQ only to find the boss already dead and being camped for it's 48 hour respawn.

Yes, the 'thousands' of hours you've spent posting troll posts on this forum is so much more legitimate than the time I've spent raiding. I should probably go re-evaluate my life now because I'm clearly doing it wrong.

I personally like instanced raids, because let's face it, who has time to poop sock in this day and age?

I might play Wildstar if it goes f2p, which it probably will considering competition, definitely not worth money though.

If you don't mind paying the price for the box, you can play it without paying a monthly fee. It's still pretty cheap to use in game money to buy game time from other players.

As much as I like this game, I do agree with some people here that the game has a boatload of problems, thus making the initial asking price + sub fee not worth it. And it's not like the game doesn't have content outside of raiding. There's actually plenty to do besides raids. The problem is that all the other content doesn't have any worthwhile rewards or incentives, thus aren't worth doing.

I've said this before elsewhere, but Wildstar had a great pre-launch community, really reasonable sounding developers and what seemed like a good eye on the industry, with lots of talk about how "we've seen other MMOs fail, we won't fall into the same traps".

But they did fall into the same traps, and even created some new traps that no one had fallen into before and fell into those, as well. How the hell did they manage that?

No warplots since a month after launch? No chance in hell to get a legit 5s, 3s, rated by pop? Waiting 1+ hours to get a practice bg pop during oceanic prime? Queuing solo as a dps for a dungeon? Look, I lov(ed) that game too, but if you think it isn't dead then you're in denial. Yeah maybe it's got more people compared to something like Graal...but Wildstar was designed to be a top class mmo. And Mega servers have no effect in queue considering all queues are cross-realm.

Granted that was what it was when I stopped playing, im sure it's picked back up a little...but hardly.

I stopped playing some 2 months ago which at that point I had finished attunement up to datascape (before easy mode patch took place), plus 1800 rated in 2s and 3s. If you've accomplished the same I have in pvp then yes, you've got me beat...barely.
