How to make an App idea a reality

There is a simple game I really want to play. Sadly, the game does not exist.
I know the game idea could become a decently successful app game if created. But mostly, this game has been on my mind for years, and I really want to play a game like it so badly!

However, I do not have any of the skills necessary to create a game. No matter how simple the game design is.

Is it possible to hire/recruit a team to make this game a reality, but also have some sort of patent or copywrite to avoid the idea being stolen?

How could one create a team to even make this a reality?

How would I have to document my idea to make this realistic and gain interest?

I honestly always talk about this idea to friends and sometimes strangers and it's always the same response, "yeah that sounds fun", "yeah that could be successful". I don't really care if it's successful or not, but I definitely just want to play the game myself - it would make me so happy.

So how could I make my dream a reality?

I really want to make this game a reality, the genre disappeared way back in the early 2000s, but the new App era calls for games like this to return.

I've been suggested "start a Kickstarter" but even if I do that, I still have no idea how to create a team, how to avoid the idea being stolen, or how to make it an app.

I really need the process of how this all works.

Learn some basic skills. There are actually a few game making softwares that will let you port to android and iphone. Hire someone to design some graphics. Make a demo of the game and post it on kick-starter.

Most, if not all, mobile apps is possible to make on your own. It probably will take a while alone though.

Copyrighting your idea will bankrupt you before you even start. Patenting games is not possible.

Ah that sucks. Well I really just want the game to exist mostly, so I guess it wouldn't be a big loss to risk it, must have trust in humans sometimes.

Believe me there is no other games like it. Well there are some which have come close, but not as fun, and they'll never be as good and they're all dead now (believe me I've hunted). They also lacked the fantasy mindset the genre can take on.

I don't want to program the game myself. That would be too difficult for me, I want to write out everything, and explain everything in detail, even perhaps get new ideas from the team, and have them create the game - a fun group project. I have no interest in being a game programmer myself, but I do have the basic knowledge of many programming languages (though my job is mainly scripting).

If you know how scripting works, you just go to http://developer.android.com/trainin...ndex.html?hl=p compile a few sample projects, set up the emulator and get going?

How complicated is that idea of yours, that you need a team? Can you expect it to create revenue to support wages and office space and supplies for 5+ people? If you just want it done, give the idea away. That's your best chance.

I believe you're right, I need to give the idea away to a company that can make it a reality.
I'm going to have to find the right company though.
