Since you are saying app, do you mean on a mobile platform?

If you know how scripting works, you just go to http://developer.android.com/trainin...ndex.html?hl=p compile a few sample projects, set up the emulator and get going?

How complicated is that idea of yours, that you need a team? Can you expect it to create revenue to support wages and office space and supplies for 5+ people? If you just want it done, give the idea away. That's your best chance.

I believe you're right, I need to give the idea away to a company that can make it a reality.
I'm going to have to find the right company though.

I also need to organize my idea so I have all the answers.

If it's for mobile, just browse through the apps you have and check for devs you think are a fit. Prepare a simple letter just asking for something akin to a skype meeting about your idea. You can ask if they are ready to pay you an adequate compensation in the form of a one time payment.

The idea that you get your own team with no experiance at all is ludacris. At best you can expect them paying you some bucks, a spot in the credits and if they really think you are a nice guy maybe some hourly compensation for some time they take to pick your brain about your idea (this is when you tell them stuff that has a 10℅ chance of getting into the product).

Any other path requires you either having enough ideas to make this a career (not all too uncommon), or piles of money to basically waste.
