Because I don't like puzzle games.

    And it's a sea-based trade/economic game.

After playing a bit, I've got a few comments.

So far, the trading aspect seems interesting. It's fun trying to make a profit by doing trade. I haven't gotten far into it, and I definitely haven't gotten into the crafting/production stuff. The size of the world seems nice, and the fact that languages are a thing. So if I want to trade with certain ports I either need body language or know their language.

I'd like to learn more on what it has to offer in terms of "sandbox" content. Can a guild take over a port? Do I get anything other than "fame" for investing? How player-run is the economy? That sort of stuff.

I'd also like to know is what is there to do with groups of players? Both small groups and guilds. Are there meaningful goals to work towards?

Also, I've got to say I found the sailing and combat lacking, especially after having played Pirates of the Burning Sea. I also feel like the combat and sailing aspects were tacked onto the game without much thought.

That sort of stuff.no only nation can take over port, there is player driver economy and game driven economy, also you got court rank which increase your nationality rank from squire to abov. It also increase your bank storage space

I finished my basic course at the merchant school the other day. I've been spending the past couple of days just doing a few trade runs here-and-there, exploring a bit. I plan to begin my intermediate classes later tonight, as I'd like to get some of the ships, money, and permits that come with it.

Speaking of permits, now that I think of it Elite: Dangerous will be like Uncharted Waters Online in space, kinda. It has a similar trading system (except E: D's will probably be a bit more dynamic and player-driven). Like UWO, E: D will require permits by gaining fame/popularity/reputation with certain factions to be able to go into the systems (In E: D's case this means going into the system without getting attacked by Authority vessels).

I'd like some ideas for goals to work for in the game. The way I'm currently playing it is nice, but I feel like I'll get bored of it after a couple of weeks if all I do is trade for the sake of making money and getting the next "big ship." I want something meaningful or interesting to work towards.

Also, should I look for a guild/company or whatnot? Trying to decide if I should just save money and remake Eve's Amitabha Industries or just join a pre-existing guild. If I started Amitabha it would only have 3 or 4 people in it that played half-actively, so not sure if that's something worth doing or not.
