For mobas perhaps Smite if you are looking for something different.

For MOBAs, can't go wrong with Dota2.
It depends on what you want out of your MMOs.
Honestly, though, regardless on what that is, there is a killer lineup for next year, so it's almost better to get into a game you know you can put down with relative ease. I'm personally getting into Vindictus, expecting that by the time Skyforge rolls out, I'll be burnt out and ready for a new game.
Tera's alright, but for me, when I first started, I lasted 2-3 months before I got hit with burnout super hard. Archeage seems more like a job than an MMO, but if you can get around the issues the game has, it will probably last you anywhere from 6 months to 5 years, depending on whether or not you quit after the first month. There are other potentially good games out there, but sadly, every single game on the market right now has flaws that can deter someone from playing longer than a month unless it's literally a perfect fit in every other aspect.
Reputation: 10I really like Strife as a casual moba. People are generally friendly aswell. Dota2 is mostly toxic people, no fun there imo.

Reputation: 10Path of Exile, or The Secret World though the latter is b2p. Both are paragons of their genre and worth your time. Warframe is another i'd suggest, especially if you like, strangly, Monster Hunter and its style of gear making the player rather than a set level.
Reputation: 10Check out Shards Online; its an MMO in development that is a hybrid between Neverwinter Nights and Ultima Online. While the Kickstarter ended two days ago they are still having a Paypal drive which ends in about 9 hours but you can purchase either a pre alpha key for around $75 or for $40 get into the Alpha program which won't start until March
Reputation: 22For something that's so repetitive, DotA 2 is your best bet on MOBA. It won't be replaced anytime soon. For an MMO though, I would really recommend P2P games. It's just so hard to balance F2P games. Most P2P games have free trials, just try most of them and see what you like best.
